Because it's an NRA joint.  And the money is pretty good too.

Because money and Fudds in the gun press talk it up. I finally saw a video of it and I was like "that's even more boring than the IDPA Classifier!" I also thought I'd never be good enough at it to make all the years of practicing pay off.

The only thing that saved Bianchi from joining the dinosaurs ten years ago was Robbie choosing to shoot iron sights. Until then it was custom Bianchi-only guns, drop a shot outside the ten-ring and you pack your bags and go home. The only thing of interest was how long it would be before somebody shot a perfect score of 1920-192x and if it would be Koenig or Piatt.

ObBTW: 50 shooters at today's steel match. One, maybe two of them have or will ever shot a state or national-level steel match.

Use the rules. Don't DQ someone who doesn't do anything DQable. -- Da Beard.

The additional money prizes that Larry Potterfield has been putting up have been helpful too.

I like money and I like shooting. Shooting for money sounds like work and not fun.

OK, maybe I should say paying to shoot for money and not being able to win money sounds like not fun.

Just start ttpsa you have to run around in tactical gear magpul mag changes and if you don't search and assess after each stage you are dq'd.

I'm pretty sure that already exists

That shit will get you killed on the street! You are supposed to throw that shit on the ground when your out of rounds and I didn't see a search and asess he is dq'd he must take a Costa and Yeager course then he can come back and shoot again.

I wonder if Enos would consider the FL open to be a good match.

There is also a pretty good prize for high newcomer and they may bring back the prize for high revolver this year at Bianchi. I agree that the shooting isn't exciting or anything, but having a set course of fire to master can help you focus your attention to mastering certain skills. I'll be there for the first time this year with an open revolver... and the big prize purse definitely makes it more interesting for me, even if I don't actually have a chance.

I wonder as well.

I have never read a single post about how "easy" it is and guys I know that have shot it a couple times say it is by far the hardest USPSA match they have ever seen hands down.

But none of those guys came up in the early years either.

I know TGO has a post somewhere on Enos where he was semi-railing about how shitty stages are now and how "back in the day" short stages were emphasized and things like winning standards stages were a big deal vs today where the emphasis seems to be getting through those types of stages cleanly and then winning the big point stages.

Lets start collecting money so USPSA can buy IDPA.

And send it to Canada. Or Great Britain.
