Yeah but an edge hit took that end plate off, so I had to quit.

I did some 20yd plate rack work today - couldn't get a clean run to save my life. 5.5-5.8 was the norm. I really think it should be mid to high 4s.

8 inch plates at 20 yards?  Shit man, that sounds pretty decent.

Ran some 25 yrd plate racks today.  Couldn't get one clean run.  The best I could run was 6.34.  Also tried some Bill Drills.  First one was really slow (2.2 sec) but grouped really well.  Best run was 1.81 with a .98 draw.  That is about the best I can draw and still get a good grip and first shot.  Taking Ben's class in November. Be interesting to see what he suggests.

Edit to add this was 7 yards.

Just wanted to post a personal best from hands at side draw with 9mm Major STI Trubor.

Time @ 15 yards: 2.78 seconds

Some of you douchers need to find a good gun club. Might I recommend CASA in Central Arkansas?

Plate racks? Hells yes!

Fuck that.... Use it while it works

My times seem to reflect Tim's with a best run of 5.88 and most in the low to mid 6's. If I take more that one make up shot times shot to the 7's. Draws were around ~2 with a 1.94 as best. This shit sucked but I learned and that's good. At first I was aiming in the wrong spot on the plates. Found I needed to really watch the top of the sight blade. Trigger control and grip are paramount as well. Good drill.

I just wish I had access to one for practice.

Not as exciting but paper plates also work.

Ben told me, "Grip it harder."

Yeah I've tried that. At 25 yards I can't see my hits and need the gratification of the knock down. Fuck shot calling.

20 yards, 2.58, with single stack gear. Draw was 1.25. Felt like I was hauling ass. Focus was plates.

We do 'em at weekly Steel Challenge practices. At about 10y I can get under 3 pretty handily...with my .22 rifle.

Centerfire's a bit more.

Wish I had video. I was at a friends range. We had set bowling pins up in between the plates and set the drill up to take the 5 pins, reload and engage plates. The pins made me really be honest with myself but after taking them, the plates just seemed to be child's play. We did probably 10 runs on that drill and then some straight plate racks.
