I'm 44, I think. Anyway I used to be able to shoot with both eyes open, now in dry fire I am noticing a double front sight high left . WTF am I an official old fart who needs glasses or shouldi shoot with one eye only? Anyway to improve vision? ( no pills please) or should I quit drinking?

I'll turn 41 later this month. I shoot with both eyes open on easy targets (e.g., open seven-yard metric) and gradually close my other dominant eye as the shots get tougher (e.g., mini popper at twenty yards). Reading street signs while driving isn't a problem, so I figure that I don't need glasses. I've also noticed that I can't shift focus between the target and my front sight as fast as ten years ago.

A Production or Limited optics division would eliminate the excuse to buy a Czechmate in a couple years :(

Because then you could have the gunsmith tell you to go fuck yourself because you didn't buy it from him new and he isn't responsible for that shit after it changes hands.

I have a -11+ as a prescription in each eye.

Either I shoot open sights as slow as a Bullseye shooter or just shoot open.

I was forced to move to open in July 2012. Getting old sucks :(

Even with good vision, a person slowly looses the ability to change focus from one plane to another. When one is young the eye can change focus, say from the front sight to the target, so quickly that both appear clear.

Yes you are officially an old fart when you pass 40! Just lay off the Scotch when you dry fire. Guns and Premium Scotch.......What could possibly go wrong :)
