I'll make a post tomorrow night of a bit of live fire practice, you can tell me what technical changes need to take place

Here is a quick practice video before the rains came.

Video is good, reloads suck. Waiting on rain to stop

You sound stressed maybe being a little too hard on yourself?  The pistol is moving around trying to find the mag and the mag is moving around trying to find the pistol. Maybe a little less stress in the shoulders might help?

How are your reloads while moving? I'm always working on my static reloads and then at the match there might be one and the rest while moving which of course I've neglected to work on.

What did you use to edit that video? It shows up as 240p to me.

Also, hate to be a party pooper, but your finger is in no-no territory.

That is out of the box, did nothing

Finger is not in the trigger guard, I'm sure of it, but will check it tonight anyway

I'll address this in my range diary in a couple of hours to not hijack the pivothead thread

That's weird. Must be a youtube issue then. There's no 240p setting on those bad boys.

Usually that happens for the first few minutes after you upload until youtube is able to process the video fully in all resolutions. I've never seen it take this long.  Most likely a Youtube issue though.

Yep, top left picture is full blown trip to DQ. Right picture is well on the way and could still get you in trouble depending on the RO.

The good news is the video lets you find these things. I had an AD last year during a load and luckily the bullet didn't leave the range but it fucked me up mentally for a while and running the video at practice helped me be sure that I fixed my technique.

So I also got a pair of these for Christmas and just had a chance to try them out at my first match.

My biggest question is:  Is there a way to adjust the angle of the camera?

Apparently I shoot with my head pointed somewhat down, and on half of the videos the top of the gun wasn't visible in the camera.  And the other half of the videos the gun is at the top most part of the screen.

I like the concept but have a few issues.  There is no easy way to tell if the camera is actually recording or not without taking off my headphones and then the glasses to check the lights.  On one stage instead of videoing myself shooting I ended up videoing myself taping up my targets after running the stage.  Hah.  Also due to the thickness of the pieces that go over my ears, my headphones don't provide the greatest seal again sound.  Not so much an issue outdoors, but at tonight's indoor range it was readily apparent.

Anyways, I like the concept and will probably continue using them IF I can find a way to adjust the angle of the camera upwards a bit.  Or maybe I'm the fucked up one shooting with my head out and apparently pointed somewhat down.

Any thoughts?

Ear muffs are not great with the Pivotheads, get some ear plugs made

Wear a hat with the bill pulled down low, that will stop you from shooting with your chin tucked in

Good idea.  I'll try the hat trick out at my next live fire practice and see.  Thanks

Do you do the tactical turtle head thing when you shoot? I haven't had that problem.
It's a little tough to see the lights but I only have to move the glasses slightly forward to see them so it's not too bad.

Finally guy my blind guy lenses not too long ago and have been playing around with them. When I remember to turn the fuckers on...

Pretty cool overall. Wish the FOV was just a little wider, but it definitely does a cool job showing first person POV.

Are they set to 1080p? I think the 720p mode just crops the 1080p picture so you end up losing field of view. I do all my recording in 1080p. Up until just recently YouTube didn't do 60 fps anyway
