From everything I've heard from people that do go, you're not missing shit. You'd have a much better time visiting Vegas in general and avoiding the sweaty big gun show.

If you're a gun store owner or inventory manager looking to find out about new lines, it's a good trip.

If you're a smaller manufacturer looking for tooling or suppliers, it's a good trip.

If you're building or operating a range, and looking into new equipment, it's a good trip.

I'm guessing a lot of those attending aren't really there for serious business like that.

Then you're probably gay and might as well go to Miami or San Francisco.

That lecher hails from LA and rolls around SHOT with groupies of all 3 genders. He raids the booths getting group photos.

Use your best MeMe shirt and plenty of hair product and he might let you in one if you buy some of his snake oil.

Con SARS is real.

Last time I attended a Vegas conference, 2 weeks after a France conference, I came back with a bug so bad that even after I recovered from the illness I had lost 95% of my voice This went on for months afterwards. Docs said it may be a post-viral thing and my voice might eventually return. Or maybe not, Or maybe it was a big fat tumor pressing on my vagus nerve that supposedly went between my brain and heart. After a CT and MRI and several videos of my vocal cords from a tube up my nose and they said they had no idea.

My voice eventually returned on it own, 3-4 months later.

Vegas is the Devil.

That's scary. I keep up on the external and internal alcohol sanitizer, and so far have kept the plague at bay.

Vegas is where the government legally tests out new toxins, it's been in all the conspiracy theory publications....ever heard of LSD testing on Soldiers during Vietnam, or how about with holding penicillin from black people in Alabama back in the 50s.....don't go, stay away, only death and disease will follow.

Working the booth, you get to spot the tourists and time wasters quickly.

If you have a buyers tag for a retailer, but look like a tourist, I may ask what distributors you prefer to work with. Don't know? Tourist.

Media tag from an outfit I don't know? Here is our marketing firms card. Call them, next week.

LOL I've represented my employer at several trade shows and you're spot on.....

Happy to report that either the ambler/neckbeard/buddy factor was greatly reduced this year, or I was just lit enough to not notice.

She looks like our internal sales associate, Lucia.

Is that her business casual attire?
