I forgot to ask price. Another guy came away from the booth with a MSRP quote of $937. I guess we will see once it drops.

So you could buy a new Stock 2* for about the same price?

Ode to Sig Marketing

There once was a company named Sig

It’s 5.11 britches a tad big

They thought they’d turned the trick

By signing Lena Miculek

To shoot a comp p320 in her rig.

But though a sucker every minute is born

Today’s consumers find themselves torn

They live in the fear

That when they purchase their gear

They’ll miss the one true unicorn.

So please don’t blame them if they’re wary

Of a division for optics that you carry

It’s hard to be the individual

In a group that’s still provisional

To mine deep with a plastic canary.

With the rules still not yet holy

And from on high we await the Foley

To tell the masses their fate

An increase in carry optics weight

Will cause the wins to be metal solely.

Oh plastic beavertailed flat triggered seduction

Mayhaps the new four figure Siren of production?

Or will Sig sales reps come a beggar

When they find unicorn shooting Stoeger

Won’t allow a win streak interruption.

Dear reader please do not misconstrue

It’s the shooter not the gear who must pull through

You can forever fight the plastic versus metal vendetta

Or instead practice with a Glock, a CZ or even a Beretta

And with talent the HOA could be you.

Sig is fucking rocking it with bleeding their "team members" out. Last year it was the 320. This year it's the competition 320. Next year it will be a carry optics ready model. The year after that, a steel grip 320. The cycle will continue indefinitely.

Bravo Sig

Is anyone else surprised (pleasantly) at the amount of effort Sig is putting into the competition market? I'm happy someone is doing it but from a business standpoint, at least where things are currently, doesn't seem to make a whole ton of sense to me. As things sit, the competition market is a very small cross section of the firearms market.

Sometimes you've just got to say what the fuck.  Kudos for a company having some fun with their shit.  Not everybody has to be serious LAV Tier 1 Operator.

At that price, I retract anything positive I had to say about this gun. $6-800 max MSRP, anything above that is just dumb.

Does anyone know if SIG fixed the issues with first round flyers? I think the 320s were throwing the first round high pretty consistently for a while. This was one of the issues Bruce Gray was trying to address.

Spoke to some of the "team" members about this...

Sir, I am unaware of any such activity or operation, nor would I be disposed to discuss an operation, if it did in fact exist, sir.

Conspiracy theories are a dime a dozen. Competition guns don't represent much revenue, but publicity from competition guns can mean a lot of interest from the general public. Think Glock doesn't give police sweet heart deals to get the publicity?

Glock knows where it's at.  The line to see Gunnie at SHOT is an hour plus long.  Max stands around the Sig booth all day with a line that occasionally stretches to two people, neither of whom have anything to sign and at least one of just wants to know MSRP on some random P238 Compact before wandering off to go stand in the Gunnie line.

The only 2 things that made me look at this new Target gun are the bigger grip and the flat trigger. Ugly, maybe, but not Grand Power ugly.

Again, if shot 1 and shot 2 fly to opposite sides of a paper plate stapled to a tree at 20-something yards, the gun ain't lockin' up rightly. So you need the services of one of the handful of not-dead-yet old bastards that still know how to weld, like Bruce Gray. Wait; never mind. It's all good.

Mine deep with a plastic canary... nice. Good move Sig signing Lena before she's had time to eat her way up to two bills.

Tori was there. Barely got any more action than Max than I saw during the show.  I didn't go to the Glock party.  Too much "polymer" scares me.

Is the Target at $900-1100 that much better/more accurate than a $450 P-09? Is the trigger twice as a good? Certainly the P-09 magwell leaves a LOT to be desired.

Just asking

Comes with maybe 5 mags which is nice.  That's another $250 or so for a P09, right?

That's 3 more than the P-09, mags are $45, so your math is a bit off
