Is there a box for "i probably wouldn't vote because it's hard to imagine how a different pres will actually affect my life, particularly the local matches and sectionals where I currently get the most bang for the buck, and which are run by hard-working outstanding volunteers that will still be there no matter who wins this election"  ??

I think the members of this forum will probably value the fact that Jack and Mike went on the show and answered questions.  Except for PostChucker who will vote for Paul due to production optics.

You, sir, are an A class Retard.

Why would someone who doesn't care enough to vote in the actual election bother to vote in a straw poll about the election?

Your new card will arrive a few days after next month's classification run.

I didn't care enough to vote in the straw poll, but if there were more choices (like the one I suggested), perhaps I would.

I haven't decided yet. Small 'gut feel' edge to Mike Foley over Jack Suber based on PPS interviews, but both seem like viable options. I did like the idea of having one as El Prez and the other as La ED. I wonder which one likes receiving flowers more? I wonder which pays better?

Paul Hyland option needs to be replaced with "Paul Who". Kudos for the manifesto, but I read it so very long ago and could use a live refresher.

How does Manny differ from Phil, other than he isn't the non-communicative fuck-up GM/pro shooter currently in office?

We should govern the uspsa through doodie's polls. For every daily decision MFCEO posts a poll and that's how we'll decide.

Not sure between Suber or Foley. I say the winner of a cage match between them should win the presidency, loser gets the ED position.

As it stands, I won't vote for them I'd they aren't on the podcast.

I like my Glocks like I like my women; 19 and in my pants.

Can't see poll using tapatalk but I'm voting for Jack. If he weren't running I would vote for Mike. Still think Jack as Pres and Mike as ED is best outcome.

No podcast, no vote. The other two better recognize!

I could go easily for Jack or Mike, I think they will both do a good job.

I've interacted with Jack often. And still worry about the COI with Mike.
Jack is a true outsider and the fact that Taylor and Martens don't like him and HQ seems to like Mike says Mike isn't a viable candidate in my opinion.

I'm unsure why there is the assumption that HQ likes me.  I don't personally know anyone at HQ, though I am about as acquainted with Kim as anyone who walked past her at a Nationals in years past.  I don't know anyone else who works there.  I do know Jake Martens, as I have shot a lot of his Indiana State Matches, he is one state away from me so we run into one another.  I know this, I won't be a friend of anyone who isn't doing their job.  I am not looking to make friends, I am looking to make USPSA better.  I also don't know what actual meaningful potential conflict I could possibly have.

I think the whole 'conflict of interest' thing is a red herring. EVERYONE who could possibly be suitable for the job will be involved enough in the sport to have some sort of perceived conflict of interest to someone.

In order to not be a retard, I listened to both podcasts. I like the fact that both mike and jack are concerned about the lack of transparency regarding finances and decision-making at HQ. I think USPSA shooting is in very good shape at the local/sectional match level, but that has almost nothing to do with uspsa HQ aside from them providing us with a well-thought out rulebook and a process for certifying officials. All the good stuff is being done at the local level by the same folks that will continue to do it regardless of who gets elected.

I haven't decided who to vote for yet, but both of these guys would be an improvement.

I think I would vote for Mike at this point.   I like his approach.  He seems to be willing to think outside the box, which is refreshing.   I respect both Mike and Jack for their willingness to join the podcast, but if I were to vote today, Mike would get my vote.  Either way, I will most likely watch both podcasts again before making a final decision.

Anyone have a bead on reasons for the pushback on Jack Suber?

I'm not saying this is a bad thing or a good thing, just curious.
