A GSSF match snuck up on me so I whipped out the G34 to get acclimated to the trigger. Weird shit happened, like a serious wardrobe malfunction in which my outer belt detached from my inner belt, thankfully after my last reload.

On the first stage it felt like Bill Cosby had slipped me a roofie and I just couldn't shoot fast enough, but on video it's respectable enough. As usual, I could not reload due to the Glock grip angle. On the classifier I tossed the reload mag on the ground and started over. On the field courses I was coming into position and still finishing my reload. On the table start stage I called a miss in the hardcover leaving the position but made it up in the next position. On the lots-of-steel stage I ran dry with one plate left and decided not to reload and continue, actually telling myself, "It's not worth it." With my slow-ass reloads and a low hit factor with 8 steel of 24 rounds, I probably was right.

I don't think I ever saw much of the front sight the whole match.

You should rename your thread: Production with a pistol that has a shitty trigger is dumb

Try a cajunized P-09 and report back

Can I win enough shit from CZ that they'll give me a 1099 at the end of the year like Glock?

WTF is cajunizing? It's not Perfection if you have to cajunize it.

BTW, that shitty trigger got me all As on the classifier, no misses except for that plate rack, and precious few Ds. If not for the heinous and unamerican grip angle that makes for shitty reloads, I coulda been a contender.

I don't care what gun it is, but a bad grip angle sucks.

Yeh but Gaston held the hands of thousands of Austrian Privates to come up with the perfect grip angle.

I see Glock paid you off.  Would you have bought one otherwise?

Cajuzining = making CZ more baller than they already are.  Right out of the box P-09 > G17, P-07 > G19

And remember, if Glock = Perfection, why huge aftermarket?

I went out and bought a 19 after the cops stole my 17. But if shot Production more than once or twice a year and/or shot Production at major matches, I'd do it with a baller unicorn or pen-springed CZ.

nice retarded stage design on stage 1. Let's put some poppers behind some no shoots so that if someone misses and hits one its an automatic reshoot.

Heinie SlantPro. I used to be able to see the serrations on the front.

Dude, this club has only been around a few years. They are slowly getting the hang of stage design. By 2020 they will have it down. Safe, USPSA legal, fun, pick any two.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone DQ'd for pointing their gun at a no-shoot. Yet.

That happened before USPSA rules disallowing fingers in the trigger guard, there was a time when the recommended method of loading your 1911 (a real mans pistol) was holding the trigger back while dropping the slide. It's the safest way to stop hammer follow from old style trigger jobs. Probably still legal in Bullseye.
