A GSSF match snuck up on me so I whipped out the G34 to get acclimated to the trigger. Weird shit happened, like a serious wardrobe malfunction in which my outer belt detached from my inner belt, thankfully after my last reload.
On the first stage it felt like Bill Cosby had slipped me a roofie and I just couldn't shoot fast enough, but on video it's respectable enough. As usual, I could not reload due to the Glock grip angle. On the classifier I tossed the reload mag on the ground and started over. On the field courses I was coming into position and still finishing my reload. On the table start stage I called a miss in the hardcover leaving the position but made it up in the next position. On the lots-of-steel stage I ran dry with one plate left and decided not to reload and continue, actually telling myself, "It's not worth it." With my slow-ass reloads and a low hit factor with 8 steel of 24 rounds, I probably was right.
I don't think I ever saw much of the front sight the whole match.
