Phil seems like too nice of a guy to be prez, these officer fuckers pulled fast ones on him by saying "oh that's gonna take a lot of time", or "well that's real hard" and it seems he didn't make waves and took their word for it. I get that shit a lot at work, and then I magically show up for several development sessions with the programming team to review their code, or show up at the work site with a timer and things start moving.

You don't need to be a dick about it, but when you are engaged, reporting progress, and rewarding progress good shit happens.

I call this the "Make me a hinge" technique. Asking someone to make you a hinge, and then asking "why such a small pile of hinges" can get downright miraculous results.

Sane businesses contract with their suppliers - even for commodities. Mature businesses maintain secondary suppliers, especially for critical components. How is this any different?

USPSA sucks at DIY therefore it needs to learn to excel in outsourcing and (I hate to say it) procurement / supply chain management for dependencies not in its core competency.

Because business.

It's either a "hobby" or a "business".
If you run it as a hobby you lose money.
If you run it as a business you make money.
Me thinks USPSA needs to figure out and decide what they wanna do....if you run it as a business you CAN'T keep the dead weight around sucking up profit for unacceptable work...just saying.

Non-profits can work just fine - you have to decide whether their purpose is to achieve their stated objectives efficiently and aggressively, or whether to allow them to serve the interests of people looking for lifestyle jobs.

Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Doodie Project?

You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

In Doodie, Veritas.

That's the number of ballots that were sent out.

What was Phil's claim about current membership numbers as his success as president?

I seem to remember 25,000

That's some Kim math right there, only off by 9%

I love your blatant Phil bashing as much as the next Doodie, but did you ever consider some of the members Phil claims to have brought in might not have been eligible to vote in this election?
