They're not screwdriver proof on the twelfth blow?

I want a refund. In case someone flings thirteen ninja death stars at the exact same place on my face during a USPSA match.
I won an IDPA match once. It was neat.

I was expecting them to break into a million pieces to be honest. I think they held up really really well. If you take a 9 mil to the eye hole you're gonna have a bad time, but short of that, I think you're good.

I think eye pro is the least of your worries with that fire trap in the video.  You should tell your husband to fix the outlet and clean and organize that corner.

If you delete the sarcasm from my previous post, that's what I'd be saying.

"Doesn't shatter and is very tough" are the key qualities for something to place between your eyes and a bullet fragment.

Banging on a lens by itself doesn't mean much if it isn't in the frame.  Part of the pass criteria for ANSI Z87.1+ is that the lens can't separate from the frame:

Here is a good video that shows the tests that are performed on safety glasses.

sorry I didn't have a proper ANSI testing jig...I was just showing that even the non super-ANSI lenses are pretty tough.

The ANSI lenses attach to the frame the same exact way as the non-ANSI ones so...
