You mean Ernest Langdon?

He won Production Nationals like 15 years ago.

IDK, maybe your friend was third...cuz the 1st "Expert" has a lower score than 1st Master...  I don't IDPA so I don't know how that stuff works.  Is the overall winner the Expert guy then>

IDPA doesn't do HOA/match winner type stuff IIRC.  That's not how it works on the street

The winner is the person with the coolest vest with the most patches.

I hope Hoppie pulls an audible and does a pod cast with him in the next few days to get his impressions of idpa.

I thought I read Vogel was the overall winner. I dont even see his name on there.

I like my Glocks like I like my women; 19 and in my pants.

IDPA does not have overall winners.  Can't have butts hurt you know

Well, OK, but with Practiscore it's easy to see who it was

Of course "Overall winner" is less meaningful in USPSA where you have real differences in equipment between the divisions.  10rd divisions in IDPA are so close as to be virtually the same, and that is where most people play anyway.  Then you've got the singlestack guys off doing their thing... but whatever.

Gaston is a great shooter for sure.  BUT, we all know that understanding the rules in IDPA is a much bigger part of that game than it is in IPSC style shooting.  The fact that he came within 1.23 seconds of winning, to me, shows that Gaston is good (we know this) but also, no one was really shooting the new division.  There there is at least one B class dude right there near the top.  I would have picked Scott Warren to win... I assume he had some issues.

But still, pretty nice for Gaston to finish that high in his first IDPA match.

Vogel was the overall winner for the match, beating Nils handily. Yes the first ccp expert beat all the ccp masters. CCP is a new idpa division so people are flocking to it trying to sand bag a lightly populated division. Also someone wanted to be "the first idpa ccp world champion!".

I shot this match, it was challenging in its own right. I will not shoot the 2016 nationals as i dislike where it's being held.

What don't you like: the range, the city, the state, or?

Most of the personalities involved with the IDPA club there and the sanctioned match there are ones I don't want to bother shooting with again if I don't have too. That's all it is, just don't really dig them. Range is ok if it doesn't rain. Stages will be challenging. Ft Worth area isn't a draw for me either during the down time.

So yeah, just a lot of personal, subjective stuff.
