That looks decent.  Not sure why you would want one though when there are still plenty of Glocks around.

I have it on good authority that the new PPQ Q5 will absolutely own carry optics.

Just another stupid plastic fantastic generic POS striker fired everypistol.  These designers have zero imagination.

Ruger isn't exactly a font of cutting edge innovation in the firearms industry.

Except when it comes to precision rifles.  There they knocked it out of the park.

Not with the RPRs design and price.  No.

You probably should stick to pistols.

Do you have one?  It is interesting but two things I am concerned about is whether the adjustable stock is sturdy and whether the float tube is stout enough to use with a sling.

Too bad. I was thinking about joining the US Practical Long Range Rifle Association.

As long as it doesn't kaboom when you shoot it, it will do much better than Caracal did.

Although I see this gun being about as successful in USPSA as the FNS9 Longslide was.

Ruger has never been the best of the best of the best, have they?  I always thought of them as a solid value brand, kind of a not-shitty version of Taurus.  Their auto pistols have been blah, that's for sure.

I think their SR series isn't actually half bad. Probably wouldn't buy one, but still thought they were kind of nice for a striker fired gun. Not sure what this would bring to the table that isn't already offered by them.

No, but Ive shot one setup for highpower, and I shoot with a shitload of sling tension.  The answer to both of your question is yes.  However, the stock adjustments are not very user friendly for three position shooting.

I have a RPR on order since October still haven't received it yet. I also own and shoot a AI-AT in 6.5x47L for PRS matches that I have already gone through one barrel which are almost $650 a pop. I figure it be a good rifle for local matches practice since barrel replacements only cost about $400 dollars, and if it sucks I'll just sell it for what It cost me.

It will be the only ruger I will ever own.
