Coincidence or pre planning by Phil on the carry optics rules?

It's all about Phil.

Do you think he's been spending these past months making the most of his remaining months in his former job(s), or lining up his next gig, ready to start right before the house of cards fell?

I made several posts predicting Phil had ties to a plastic gun company all lined up after his tenure as president. I was even warned and threatened with a ban on Enos for such a prediction.

Not a surprise at all.

SIG wasn't involved the the CO discussions. Stealth Team SIG was informing SIG about what was going on inside of USPSA and SIG wasn't directly lobbying for anything. As a matter of fact, discussion have been more around how SIG can build the ideal Production gun within the rules set out by USPSA, not trying to get USPSA to change its rules to accommodate unchanging designs.

I'm glad they're letting Alma in on all the top level meetings so he knows everything the company does, but with that access I'm disappointed in him letting this Phil thing happen.

SIG's done nothing in the last 10 years but find ways to consistantly drop in the eyes of the shooting world. This is yet another step in that direction.

Because USPSA politics is obviously a frequent topic of discussion at top level meetings for major firearms manufacturers.

Any idea what Phil is actually doing for Sig? Really hoping he's Federal sales like he was for Remington. That way I don't have to havvve any interaction with him when I call Sig. Too bad. They have a great guy in Bruce Gray and Phil is the anti-Bruce. Bruce is competent, follows through, is innovative, and maddeningly polite.

Phil will help lead Sig's continued efforts to gain better traction in the action shooting sports.

In USPSA, he will shoot a P320 production, and Sig single stack.  No dot on anything.

This is either true or false.

Phil is a very good shooter, he sucked as USPSA president, but has big time name recognition that will help Sig

Smart move

Sig doesn't really give two shits about USPSA-- they're sucking up Phil for his LE & shooter creds.  He's probably a 6-gun Ninja Custard Master or something.

It's true, most people who give two shits about Phil won't be buying SIG or shooting a SIG in USPSA anyway. (Not counting those on Team SIG, secret team SIG, double secret stealth team SIG or suckling on the company teet)
