This match has always been SS and production only and it fills up fast, no reason to change.
I was a sarge but not THE sarge.

Shooting Saturday on Squad 206. Will be sporting the "retro" S&W 5906.
Perusing the match book, I don't see any super crazy stuff on any stages. I have been working on accuracy at distance & partials in live fire in the back yard this week for match prep.

Match was good. Loved the people in my squad as usual. My performance was dreadful, and physically and mentally I was pretty run down even before the match started. The weather was pretty dreadful. Cold, wet, and windy.
Was nice to meet more Doodies (Hey Zack!).

The heat was really on this year.
I shot 14% better this year and was 4 places lower on the results.
The Production spread is nuts.
2015:
100-75% had 8 people
2016:
100-75% had 43 people

Can you really compare between years where Ben was there and not there? A shooter like him really raises the bar and changes the curve.
very true..

That's true for the percentages but there was still a lot more talented shooters there this year, IMO.

Match went relatively well with the exception of 2 mikes thrown relatively early in the day. I didn't really start getting my groove on until well after lunch and I had a couple of solid runs.
You could probably run faster if you lost the wind resistance of the hat
