I suppose you eliminated mechanical issues with the gun/ammo?

What does your practice regimen look like? Did you just pick one thing in isolation and work on it?

The last couple of steel matches has seen a worsening of my scores. I have diagnosed a good bit of the problem as getting sloppy on the trigger. I'm normally fairly accurate and I think I have picked up a bad habit trying to push myself to go faster.

Loaded up a couple magazines today that had 50% dummy cartridges. Not good.

Any ideas? Does anybody think "dummy and ball" drills help?

I had been thinking about loading some .38s and shooting the revolver some.  I have a five shot Ruger with a very heavy double action pull.

This past few weeks I have tried to isolate my trigger pull.

I think I'm going to go back to what got me this far over the past couple years.

I've cut more than 90 seconds off my time on a six stage steel challenge match.
