one of the original Clark Long Heavy Slide pistols. Wish I would have kept that gun.
D-oh. Wanted to see more of that gun.

I lay the gun on it's side and operate the slide briskly. Try for at least 2 ft of loft, with good hang time.
Style points if you can land it right back into the hand that operated the slide.
Have seen 3 ejector detonations on 40 cal 2011's----1 required minor surgery, all required clean
shorts. The surgery guy had his hand over the port, gun on the right side to catch the round
in his hand. Blasted a couple of chunks of case brass into his fingers.

Are people getting the flip and catch confused with covering the port with your hand and ejecting directly into it?
I've had people at matches bitch about this, and it always seems like they're confusing the two.
People just like to bitch when they need to shut their cock holster.

no one gives a shit. let them blow their fingers off, or break 180, or do a 2 1/2 in the tuck position. show me a clear chamber or go fuck yourself.

I have the same theory, but turning the gun sideways and ejecting the round into your hand is obviously not a flip and catch. The round has to be flying up in the air for it to be a flip and catch.

That's what I get for posting when I should be sleeping.
I learned that my knees are shite and I've been limping and had water on my left knee since the class. Starting to stretch, cant do a quad leg extension with weight at all.

To this point, I've heard eyewitness accounts of a round going off in nearly every conceivable iteration of unloading.
Flip- one can go off
Dump into hand- one can go off
Round hits the ground- one can go off
All of these are pretty unlikely and whoever it was involved usually has to dig brass out of skin.
What we do is dangerous, either live with the danger or sell your guns and go play golf.
