Because euxx would rather spend hours arguing with users (and apparently Ken) about this functionality and telling them they don't need it every time it comes up in a forum post (roughly every 2-3 weeks for the past 24 months I'd say) ...

Hey, that is not what I've been saying. I was saying that uspsa org never officially requested the feature. And it actually been more than 2 years now.

Besides, the org apparently has an IT director on a payroll. I don't know what his job is, but if he can't code those simplest formats the org members wanted, the org is wasting money on that office position.

Oh, and for all you care, the thing you want is to be able to directly upload from PS to uspsa. There are many way to get that done and generating some ugly file on a tablet was never the best choice. You can of course blame it all on euxx, but if anyone in uspsa office circles actually wanted it done, it would have been done years ago.

Well to be strictly accurate, isn't it mandatory for the engineer to build precisely what the designer spec'ed, even if it turns to be the opposite of what everyone actually wanted?

Bro, do you even Dilbert?

Yet.... holy shit, it's right there in the IOS version -- that Russell must be one dumb bastard, coding a feature that no one wanted or needed, and that USPSA HQ certainly never asked for.... yet there it is and dozens or hundreds of clubs use if every weekend. It's a good thing he did, or your earlier suggestion that we all go buy iPads wouldn't really work out.

BTW, I would nominate Linda Chicho for uspsa IT director. The lady bought an Access book and wrote a match management system for herself. When she showed it to me few years ago, it was one of the most advanced match management apps I've seen.

You are more like pointy haired boss to me...

Anyhow, the difference between me and Russ, is he is running USPSA matches (and don't own a PC to run ezws), and I'm running IPSC matches.

But then again, if Russ (or even uspsa) have done it on the web site two years ago like I've been suggesting, you guys would have nothing to complain about now. :)

He tried and every time euxx been able to convince Ken that it need to be on the web site.
Oh, I shouldn't have said that, I shouldn't have said that...
The stage and squad locking been documented. Not pulling down scores on android when anything is locked is kinda obviously logical thing that doesn't need special introduction and you would have seen it if haven't moved to ios. :)

I guess I don't do "obviously logical" then. I did test it tonight with 1.3.10 and it works as advertised so kudos to you on that. I use iOS for the stuff that Android can't do such as generating results with additional details/stats and generating the files I have to use to upload the results to the steel challenge web site. I still have over a dozen NSTs that I use for scoring and testing with so it's not like I've totally abandoned Android.
Not to be confused with ZachJ

I haven't seen android reports from you for a while, so you either moved completely or android stuff just works. :)

YES

Kidding aside, they belong to the members, the shooters. IF USPSA would make it easy we would send them to USPSA, but PS has made it easy to upload scores to a site for the shooters to see the results.

You seem to be the only one who gives a flying fuck.

How does anyone own a "score"?

You seem to have some hangup about ad revenue being generated -- do you know what the piss poor conversion rates on USPSA's shitty website must be? Do you even visit practiscore.com to look at results? If Ken was an evil mastermind trying to amass these valuable databases, wouldn't he have ads splashed all over that site?

You say that earning ad revenue of probably 75k a year is piss poor.

Sounds like you work for the Guv-ment.

I'm actually more concerned that if Ken decides to walk away from USPSA again, there goes our scores and classification database.

Guess Ken will soon be running USPSA and the election we just had was for nothing.

USPSA only has a rule book, scores (that should be monetized) and a classification system. You want to give 2 of them to Ken.

I actually do work for the guvment, so I am qualified to comment on this......

Your concerns about ken walking away are valid. I personally believe he is a standup guy, but people's lives change, and he may lose interest. Who knows. To me that means USPSA should probably purchase ken's services in an agreement that involves the ability to modify the source code in the future instead of relying on volunteer coding. Although admittedly, you can go a longazz way with open source volunteer code.

I don't know what 'monetizing' scores means. Does that mean we should pay classifier fees? or wut?

USPSA developed the shittiest, least user friendly software I've used and then wanted clubs to upload to a website straight out of 1990.

PS has become the defacto standard because they made it easy.

USPSA had the chance to remain the standard, but they didn't give the members what they want. USPSA needs to deliver value to the members and a reason to upload scores to USPSA website. They don't do that so PS filled the void.
I've said it before, if I had to choose between PS and USPSA the club I run will go back to being an outlaw match tomorrow.
