All of the above.
Test fire new guns, but that's mostly not by hand. Most of the shooting I do by hand is test firing guns in for service/ repairs. I end up shooting a good number of test targets when customers claim the gun doesn't shoot accurately.
The govt doesn't collect cases anymore.
I'm pretty open about what I shoot personally and what it would take to get me to switch. Basically I'll consider switching if a finger no finger groove gen 4 frame ever goes into production. I've told my boss that 2 of those + a seasons worth of ammo would convince me to switch.

You work for Glock?

I'm more likely to switch my carry guns over to Glocks before I switch my CZs. Some of the stuff I would do to personal guns are not production legal, even though they are small changes, such as reshaping the trigger safety tab.

I haven't switched them yet just because I don't want to sell the good guns I have just to replace them.

Figure about the same as last year—30k. That's a range trip every weekend, one or two of which are a match, plus an occasional weekday range trip.

3-4 matches a month but now moving where a range will be 28 minutes from the house so will probably see an increase as I'll have 2-3 live fire sessions each week now. so it should be very easy to sustain shooting 800 rounds a week, week in and week out all year. i know we're around 1/4th of the way through the year so I'll guess about 35,000 rounds total for 2016.

I try not to keep count. I have my components shipped to a sweatshop in an adjacent town where my 1050/ammobot laborer assembles them.  Somewhere between 15 and 25k

Except for the round count, you're living the dream.

What do you guys figure is your cost per round? $0.10 or so?

Some of you crazy bastards drop a lot of coin on this shitshow hobby.

20,000 rounds in a year is 2 grand.

About the cost of ONE set of Corvette race tires. Yea. Shooting isn't that expensive.
