Anyone else hear about this rumor?

Cover will be replaced by fault lines, slide lock reloads will be legal anywhere, not just in "hallways" or behind cover.

No more subjectivity? Built more for gaming? Next thing you'll tell me is they are getting rid of the vest...

Max round count will be increased to 31, consistent with the nature of today's threats.

I heard that they would be eliminating the use of fishing vests as pseudo cover and require actual cover garments that don't print.

I have heard about the fault lines, but nothing about reload anywhere yet.

Sounds like a positive move... probably will be too little, too late.

I'm sure they'll institute an addendum to that rule establishing one set of fault lines for people shooting S&W and Wilson Combat guns, and another more restrictive set for those shooting all those other unacceptable ones.

slide lock reload everywhere will lead to a huge surge in round dumping.  but it does make the stage planning a bit more interesting and dynamic, especially combined with 1 point = 1 sec where more makeup shots will be fired.

Dunno about that. The stage plans might shift a little but the stages are so damn short it's hard to game them regardless.

Especially when they tell you how, when, and where to do almost everything

Could we not have a decent conversation about the possible rule change without bashing IDPA? Yes that is rhetorical.

No? IDPA is so fucking backwards and lacking in competitive equity it's hilarious. Literally all they have going for them is marketing.

True.

On that topic, I think IDPA should waive the cover garment requirement if one wears a plate carrier with real plates.

Could we have new members introduce themselves so that they can join the conversation like civilized howler monkeys?
