Could we not have a decent conversation about the possible rule change without bashing IDPA? Yes that is rhetorical.

no.

...just notice you're new and that was your first post, so:

fuck no.

Those trolls are coming over here actually looking for a serious conversation? Let me grab a beer and start the pool on how long before the first rage quit.

I have heard about the fault lines, but nothing about reload anywhere yet.

Be prepared to be foot faulted because the IDPA SOs are racist.

On that topic, I think IDPA should waive the cover garment requirement if one wears a plate carrier with real plates.

That has some hilarious potential

They do if you're a cop and show up wearing your duty rig, no plates needed

Joyce will call them firing lines instead of fault lines so there won't be an IDPA revolt.

They would have to throw away a 100% lower / 50% upper body cover rule if they actually wanted a single fault line to work in all instances. A better human being part of me wants them to realize that. A much larger asshole part of me wants them not realize that so I can enjoy the ensuing circus show called slicing the cake, or whatever they slice in there.

This is the point of foul lines, to get rid of the subjective cover calls yet force some targets to be shot "around cover".

This does not, however, rule out the shit circus that will arise.

Can you imagine, THIS and Trump next year!

I understand what fault lines are for since on occasion I shoot USPSA. You however didn't understand what I said because I was either vague, imprecise, referred to specific situations or you simply didnt get it. Let me try again. IDPA likes shooting wide target arrays from around the cover using an advanced tactical technique called slicing a cake. Piecake is practically a mascot of IDPA because slicing it is advanced and it is tactical. You can only slice a very small slice of pie with a single fault line, especially if enforcing 50/100 rule. Nobody wants a small piece of cake though so we have a conflict.

With all of the pie and cake being sliced at IDPgAY 'matches', it's not surprising that the average weigh in tips 300 lbs.

You can't slice a cookie, they break.  Soft baked don't count either.
