Hey hosers what is your favorite drill currently... and why?
Best Drill of Evarrrrr

Since I couldn't shoot that worth a damn in your class (mikes on steel every run) it's something I've spent a lot of time on.
If you only paste non-A's it means you rarely have to stop to tape, and doesn't slaughter your ammo budget as badly as longer drills.
Since I wanted a bit of hosing practice too (learning not to triggerfreeze) I have done it with two 4yd paper on the same side, then the two plates to finish. "Hose and downshift" is a great drill too.

You're supposed to actually be able to do it without mikes?
Dots. It kicks ass for trigger control and It's fun to leave all-hits sheets in the trash at the range for Full Timmy to find.
I thought Ben was joking.

Metric | Plate Rack | Metric
Metric A | 1 2 3 4 5 6 | Metric B
A - 1 - B - 6 - A - 2 - B - 5 - A - 3 - B - 4
Essentially transitioning from paper to closest plate available. If you miss, you have to keep the cycle going. One miss on a plate ads 3 extra shots to the drill.

I guess it depends on what context "favorite" is applied.
Dots: to always get gooder.
Blake Drill: cause some asshole gave me a hard time about A. Getting on the trigger too early on transitions, and B. Leaving targets too early... so I'm trying to unfuck myself and get gooder. (F you, Chipotle boy. Qdoba gang or die)
Accelerator: It's a lot of fun, works most (if not all) of the fundamentals, and I get to work on changing gears to get gooder.
Distance changeup: In my pursuit of speed, I've become good at hosing... excellent for keeping my discipline and consistency in check so I can get gooder.
Criss-Cross: I probably have more fun shooting this drill than any others. I don't know why. And it helps me get gooder.
Answering off the cuff, I think Criss Cross is my favorite currently.
"Forget the necessities, it's the luxuries I can't live without."

I think the best drill that teaches something and you learn along the way is 2 @ 25 under 2 seconds, or the "GM Test."

El Presidente is the best drill ever becuase it's one of the first, tests just about everything,
except accuracy at distance, SHO, WHO, movement, partials, hard leans, unloaded starts, and 98173490817324 other things.
My favorite drill varies depending on what I sucked most at the last match. I figure if I keep working hard at whatever I'm worst at, eventually I will not suck. This week it's controlled pairs on partials, and better awareness of where on the target i'm looking as I transition.

Criss Cross is addictive.
20-yard bill-reload-bill is fun.
The most I do, however, is El Prez. Getting sub 4 sec with all A/C is most satisfying, though I have become badder the more I do it.
I know you told me in class to do more distance changeups (under 3 sec), but I pretty much have given up for me it's either under 3 sec with a mike on head, or all As for 4 sec. Not fun.

Ridgid Gen5X is what I use currently. The battery life is unbelievable and there is a lifetime warranty on everything INCLUDING the batteries.
