PCC with 10 rounds and minimum barrel lengths, fault lines if you kinda feel like using them, 1 second penalty scoring (AKA skill gap the size of the grand canyon), simplified classifier that was already easy as hell, need I go on...

What are the chances IDPA finally realized they're a fucked up organization with hypocritical goals that contradict competition? I'm guessing 0, but there's a lot of USPSA envy which is an excellent sign.

Not until they get Carry Optics.

"That could never happen" is a valid objection to any practical course of fire -- IPSC rules, June 1978.

I think because they shit the bed with a multigun sport, they wanted to add a long gun option.

PCC is even less compatible with IDPA than it is with USPSA.

Wow! Went to 1 point = 1sec as we all knew but also

Allows PCC but defines no start positions or allowable methods of carrying while not shooting COF

Removed Tact Sequence and does not allow it to be used

Reduced Classifier round count from 90 to 72 mostly by reducing shots from 20 yards from 18 to 6.

Removed Mozanbique from the first classifier stage

They did all of this while also extending the classifier times up thru SS. The only more difficult classifier item is the 1pt=1sec. All other classifier changes make it easier.

Looks to me like it has officially become a "beginner sport" for USPSA as it should become even less interesting for better shooters

Default start position for PCC is "low ready" or "indoor ready" (whatever the fuck that is), but offers no definition for those terms.

They definitely need to address how people are to manage their carbines outside of the course of fire.

Red dots will get you kilt on the streez because the battery will die but 9mm 10 shot AR's are legit for defending your family in SHTF scenarios.

except 10 shot 9mm AR's are allowed to have optics with batteries that will die.

Bill Wilson wants to sell more 9mm Commanders.

8.9 Concealment Garments

8.9.1 Legal concealment garments hide the holster, firearm, ammunition carriers, and loading devices from view.

8.9.2 The concealment garment test is for the competitor to stand with their arms straight out to the side, parallel to the ground. If the standing SO cannot see the previously listed equipment from the front, sides, or rear, then the concealment garment is legal

No exemption listed for PCC, time to break out the trench coats.

I also like how Flagrant Penalties and FTDR's are both for when the shooter breaks the rules for a competitive advantage.

Is this on some kind of trial period, or is this rulebook effective immediately?

I guess HQ lost my email address.
