Where did you find that?

Is factual IDPA data, or is highly plausible JPEG recycled off of an AARP website?
I won an IDPA match once. It was neat.

Herein lies the disconnect. All of us bitching online are very much shooting matches for competition purposes only. IDPA still has more than half of its members thinking this stuff is there to make you carry your daily piece better. Not about gaming your ass off hosing cardboard.

57.9% shoot IDPA to hone self-defense skills.
30.8% shoot for competition reasons.

(Sorry about the grainy resize. Doodie would only let me upload an 11kB image. Lame.)

Without derp IDPA wouldn't be a viable business whatsoever.

I think the problem is IDPA is trying to make both the gamers and the CCW crowd happy. In the end no one will be happy.

You can either run tactical skills courses or run a logical and fair competition. They've proven that a hybrid is tarded and gains nothing over the two seperate options.

all I want to know is do you still have to wear a 'tactical' fishing vest in PCC? given it's never 'holstered' how the fuck will your cover garment cover it at a 'indoor ready'? lol. maybe you have to start with your PCC in a large box of long stemmed roses like terminator? could bring the masses to IDPA.

These are the official rules, from the 2017 rulebook that was released this week. There's no "if" involved.

And I might agree with you slightly, except that the shift to 1 second per point down is going to transform it into a bullseye match for those in khaki vests at skill levels below top-tier-operator (Expert) and above.

The chasm between the sharpshooters and masters just got pried open even more widely.

The comment period is just so people can check their typos. I'm sure comments will carry as much sway as they did last comment period.

They say fault lines I say trip hazards.

Trip hazards? Seriously bro? You say this as if fault lines haven't been in use in IPSC/USPSA for the past 30 fucking years.

You have to remember me and half the idpa shooters make 2 or 3 uspsa shooters. Ive seen local matches where they trip on gravel.

I can't understand what your first sentence is intended to say, but if you see shooters tripping on fault lines you are in the wrong location. I have never seen a shooter trip on a fault. I'm sure it happened sometime, somewhere but no very often. I have seen numerous IDPA shooters either slide down or trip on wall supports at indoor matches. So should we outlaw indoor matches?

I didn't even get that far. I lost interest after I read:

Visual Cover Lines, not Fault Lines.

Slightly less stupid than Invisible Arbitrary Cover Lines that are enforced capriciously.

He means he's fat and he equals about 2 or 3 USPSA shooters, by volume.

IDPA... STILL dumb.

I know.

Didn't Brownie build a script that automatically bans any poster that is dumb enough to put "idpa" in the thread title?
