I think you are signaling that you feel inadequate about your shooting. My attire (plain shirts) definitely signals that I think jerseys look lame, but I don't get any vibe of any sort from shooters in jerseys. they seem exactly like the people without jerseys except dressed funny.

For what its worth I am quasi sponsored and I have a T-Shirt from my sponsors. I wear them as I see fit at 2 day matches and switch it around every match I go to.

I like being the unique guy without a jersey, and I have had more people come up to me and ask about the companies that support me because they see a difference in a t-shirt vs a jersey, than some of the other people I shoot with.

Maybe its an intimidation thing?

Do you cut the sleeves off your T-shirts?

So much jealousy here.

Everyone knows the people that were given their shirt and those that bought it.  Who cares.

Everyone has seen the person that got a shirt and some support when "they" were the ones that should have gotten it instead.

I think it's dumb that people do it; and dumb that people care.

I wouldn't say I've been sponsored but I've been supported in the past.  I've also gotten a a couple 1099NT due to winnings as well.

I wear/wore a shirt but that company is not helping me out anymore so not sure if I'll still wear it or not.

The shirts are very comfortable.  Maybe I'll just buy a blank one.

I think this gets at a broader question: At what point is "selling out" worth it (either in general, or specifically to you)?

I wouldn't mind having one or two of those blank blouses.

You want to organize a group buy?

So I can't believe nobody is sporting the grease stained wife beater? Show up, shoot the match, toke a pack of coffin nails, throw back a couple of cold ones while RO your buddy, head home and ask the bitch where is my dinner!

Double Wide White Trash Shooting Team Yeah that sounds about right

Long time ago when No Fear was a thing (ask your parents), somebody printed up white shirts with a black X across them and "No Shoot" in the same font.  Might be a useful logo if you have a habit of picking brass during a match.

Noticeably reducing my overhead while not radically changing how/where I shoot.

i've actually asked sponsors if i could just get a vector file direct from them and put the stuff on a regular cotton tshirt. no deal, they wanted it on the same style shirt as all the other people were wearing.

I go through this dilemma at big matches I go.  A good friend of mine who owns the company gave me a shirt with his company on it but my skills is not what I consider good.  Id rather not wear the jersey but he gave me 3 with shorts as well. I just dont want him to get upset with me but I'm just not that kind of guy.  Its only his company brand on the shirt which makes it not bad to wear.
