The new IDPA rulebook shows how derp CAN win.  Trolling the fuck of IDPA faceturd posts, I came to realize that IDPA is really the ultimate butt hurt sport.  So can anyone remind me why this fucking tactitard sport was formed?  I am betting at least one of its pillars is based on butthurt, and at least one is to get Joyce out of the fucking house more.

Merry Christmas, cunts.

"You are accosted by exactly nine assailants wearing their body armor diagonally for the third time in one night. Extract the unloaded gun from the tackle box in your lap and make them wait while you load it from your belt..."

Highly tactical.

I love how they are finally figuring out that Fault Lines are "a good thing".

On the bright side it looks like the Stock 2 will be allowed in ESP. Not that I can stand emergency reloads and the idea of oddly limiting walkthroughs but not allowing blind stages. What's the point again?

I wouldn't say they've figured it out. Look at it in the rule book. Its not the same as USPSA.

Also, how are figuring the S2 is gonna be legal in ESP?

I actually asked HQ why the rule for no bull barrels over 4.25". If the gun fits in the box and makes weight why does it matter?

The sport is now run by Marksman level women. They can't see more than 5 inches in front of their faces with regards to how some of these changes will affect other aspects of the game.

The stock 2 isn't going to be allowed in ESP, BUT my Stock2 frame with my Witness Classic slide on it will be...unless they put the ban on full length dust covers back in.

I've assumed that at the time IDPA was formed (1996), the folks that wanted to shoot "regular" pistols in USPSA felt they had no way to run "regular" pistols and be competitive.

Seems this reason to shoot IDPA and not USPSA went away when "Production" and "Single Stack" became divisions (was this sometime after 2000?).

When production/single stack were created IDPA became obsolete.

Bill Wilson wanted USPSA to create a division that you could use his guns in. Because USPSA was all about the arms race and having to spend megabucks on a hi-cap gat to compete with.  USPSA said no, Wilson started IDPA where he could sell his megabuck singlestacks to the timmies casue Wilson diod not build hi-caps. Back in the day Bill Wilson was one of the biggest gamers in USPSA.
