So how do they determine HOA-RO for first pick of the prize table?
RO's should be treated like employees, clearly define the job to be done (which days to work) and the compensation (match fee, hotel, per diem, etc.)
Shooters should be treated as customers, what the match offers in terms of stages, payout/prizes in exchange for match fee.
However a match director wants to run their match and distribute prizes is up to them, but they should be up front about it. Filling your match book/flyer with sponsor logos and talking up the dollar amount on the prize table, only to not really have that much in prizes because staff gets to cherry pick before any prizes are given out, is deceptive.
