Their popularity in the LEO/Mil community vs USPSA shooters couldn't be more different.

Because leo and mil guys are not shooters.

Even the subset within each category that are "gun guys" are not shooters.

They don't know what they don't know.

From experience I can confirm the "HK hates you" customer experience jokes are bullshit, at least within the last few years. Just like any other decent company I send my shit in, they fix it, they send it back.

The problem was getting them to ship you parts to install yourself, in my experience. No one who shoots a gun often enough to want to refresh some parts annually wants to send their gun in that often.
I won an IDPA match once. It was neat.

I can't speak on that so I'll defer to you. I'm lazy and just order that stuff online where I can.

I know one dude that made Master with a HK of some sort. Had clear mags which was kind of cool and the VP9 seems like an OK pistol. At the risk of Enos-ifying the thread, where you are now, any practice is far more important than what pistol you do it with.

After all, Nationals can be won with a Beretta which was the Mil-Ops go-to piece at the end of last century.

Use the rules. Don't DQ someone who doesn't do anything DQable. -- Da Beard.

A Glock can be competitive at the highest levels.

That should tell you all you need to know about how much your gun matters.

HKs are Tactical, but nowhere near being perfection.

How can you get any more perfect than both raiding tombs and taking down the combine?

I believe the HKs can be fairly competitive in Limited 10.
