Effective immediately ALL 2017 Level I I State and Section Matches that were scheduled for Coast Rifle & Pistol Club Biloxi, MS have been Cancelled.
Anyone who has registered and paid their fees need to get in touch with Steven Mosher 228-348-0046 or mosher@cableone.net.

Betty J Wilson
MS Section Coordinator

For those who want an explanation. Original email sent today.

Mr. Mosher,

After careful consideration and countless hours of discussions a decision to cancel all 2017 MS State and/or Section Matches has been decided.

Effective immediately all MS State and/or Section Matches for 2017 that were scheduled to be held at Coast Rifle and Pistol Club Biloxi, MS are cancelled. You may continue with these matches but as a LEVEL I or II match only. You must get in contact with those who have registered and paid their fees and give them the opportunity to request a refund.

The reasons for cancelling these matches is listed below.

1. On April 12, 2017 you withdrew Corey Yates and Ashley Yates from the 2017 CK Arms MS Open State Championship Match that was to be help at CRPC in Biloxi, MS. Neither Mr. or Mrs. Yates had requested to be withdrawn from this match either by email, text, phone or social media.

Corey Yates Follow the registration process. Like Mike Foley said. Did I request to be withdrawn? Show me the email?

Steven Mosher No, you didn't request to be withdrawn by email.

According to USPSA Handgun Competition Rule Book

Rule 6.4.4:

An individual may be barred from participation in a USPSA match, at the match director's discretion, IF the person:

a. has demonstrated an inability to safely complete the course of fire, or

b. has demonstrated behavior which would or may disrupt the match, or which would bring disrepute to the sport.

Rule 6.4.5

A Match Director enforcing Rule 6.4.4 MUST submit a detailed report to USPSA within seven days of the occurrence.

You did not submitted to USPSA a detailed report requesting the withdrawal of Corey and Ashley Yates from the 2017 CK Arms MS Open State Championship match.

2. You have 7 Level II matches scheduled for 2017 to be held at CRPC Biloxi, MS. For each match you are listed as the MATCH DIRECTOR and the RANGE MASTER. In order for a person to be a Range Master that person must first be RO Certified. As of todays date, April 25, 2017, your RO Certification Level is NONE. After looking at your recent LEVEL II matches that were held at CRPC Biloxi, MS. it shows that on March 25, 2017 for the Rosco Manufacturing Mississippi Two Gun State Championship your where the Match Director and the Range Master.

Rule 7.3.1

Match organizers must, prior to commencement of a match, appoint a Match Director and a Range Master to carry out the duties detailed in these rules. The nominated Range Master should preferably be the most competent and experienced Certified Range Official present (see Rule 7.1.6). For Level I and Level II matches a single person may be appointed to be both the Match Director and Range Master.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to call me. 601-301-0878

Betty J. Province Wilson

MS Section Coordinator

If those who have registered and still wish to shoot these matches they will be at a Level I or Level I I but they will not be a State or Section Championship.
Rules are written for a reason and must be followed.

Greetings Shooters!

We've had a few questions recently about the inner workings of the MS section and how the level 2 MS State Championships are determined.

It seems a series of unfortunate and incorrect rumors are making the rounds on Facebook from people not affiliated with the match while we are at the range preparing for this weekend's level 2.

As always, we're happy to provide some insight.

1. The six club presidents from around the state form the executive committee that decides the location of the match and selects the match director. The section coordinator does not get a vote.

The committee voted 6-0 for BPSA to host the MS State/Section Championship.

This has not changed.

2. DNROI and the USPSA organization make the ultimate determination on sanctioning and approval of all level 2 matches.

The status of that sanctioning of our matches has not changed.

3. The MS Section Coordinator doesn't have the authority to cancel it.

This has not changed.

4. BPSA is running the 2017 MS State/Section Championship series as planned.

This has not changed.

5. Last, but certainly not least, BPSA policy is not to engage in internet gossip, flame wars, etc., and we encourage our members to do the same. We pour everything we have into running fun and fair matches, and aren't interested in the internet tomfoolery.

For those who have and will continue to support us, we thank you, and for those who don't and are going to say whatever you say, may God be with you also.

See you guys at the matches!

Just looks like some bogus FB page made within the last week to create drama, I don't see any legitimate verifiable info anywhere.

Based on the rebel flag logos chosen, I'm thinking the page is bullshit and engineered by some cunts like BLM, Antifa, OFA, Soros, or Moms against whateverthefuck.  The phone number also has too many digits, which points to a weak troll attempted by a retarded SJW.

The alternative is that someone that was removed from the match and has a major case of butthurt about it.  Is it coincidence that the Yates name is used?  YBTJ.

ETA:  I like the logos just fine.

Pretty sure it's a legit MS section page started by the SC, can't believe that corporate wouldn't object to the rebel flags everywhere.

Chances are far, far greater that it's some retard shooter. The shooting sports have more childish idiotic drama than a knitting circle.

I find it hard to believe that there's drama involved in a match being run by Mosher.

Looks like the letter is signed by Betty Wilson. I didn't know she was Mississippi section coordinator, but did know she is from Mississippi... She Damn sure is a fire cracker, so I could see her saying this, plus she has always been by the book.

My view of the MD:  He's justifiably in a position he'd rather not be in.
