DQ for unsportsmanlike conduct - or for being a dick, take your pick. Feel free to arbitrate.
More to the point. That could only happen a few times before word got around. Good luck to that guy trying to get into future matches after he earns THAT reputation.
There haven't been many (less than 5), but local clubs have permanently uninvited shooters before.

You don't think Mr perfect double would do it? Someone is going to ban him??

It's been done before. It will happen again.

If that is made a rule, it is tantamount to free reshoots.

Here is the chain of events-
Death jam- stage is fucked...
You know you can get a reshoot if you fuck up RO squad...
You sprint to the beginning of the stage to pop a quick makeup then reverse direction...
they followed naturally and now with the quick reversal they are in your way...
If they don't take the bait, just keep running around trying to get them to follow or box them in until you get interfered with...
Free reshoot.

i would issue a dq for unsportsmanlike conduct.  when i was a newb RO I did have a shooter intentionally run into me to get a reshoot, and it still pisses me off that he got away with it.

So if you have an unusual stage plan, you get a DQ?

How are you going to enforce that? You gonna DQ everybody?

How many matches are they going to let you RO when attendance drops off?

If your stage plan is intentionally so unusual it involves continuously baiting the ROs into an unsafe situation I'm guessing you won't be invited back to that club any time soon. Self solving problem.

having an unusual stage plan is cool. Intentionally running into an RO to get an undeserved reshoot is not.

if the RO is legitimately in the way, I would say 'i'm trying to go uprange, and you are interfering'.  It *should* be a reshoot (I actually got one like that nationals a few years ago, but it was slightly douchey.).

The problem is: you turn around and the RO is hugging your nuts. You drop step and then unload.

You: "You interfered with my run. You were too close."
RO: "No I wasn't."
*arb*

RM: "Were you too close?"
RO: "No."

You lose.

Whereas if your ass knocks the RO over, it's impossible to argue you shouldn't get a reshoot.

If you do it intentionally you should go shoot IPSC instead, they love that stuff.

the mistake is unloading in the first place. Saying 'i'm trying to go that way and you are in my way' seems like it is just as effective as running into someone, and a whole lot safer.

You say this, the RO just stares at you with the timer in the air, ostensibly having always been ready to hop away from you. Run is ruined.

when i did it I stopped even with him, and explained I was trying to continue uprange but couldn't. worked fine. but if it works better for you to run into someone, I don't want to take that option away. run into what you need to run into.

At the USPSA Nationals in Montana (kids, ask your parents) they had a stage that involved picking up and dropping a giant coin into a slot, because practical. IIRC it was 1 procedural for not picking up the coin, another for not getting it into the slot. Maybe 10% of shooters missed the coin slot. Robbie missed the coin slot and joked about it at awards "about that time I was looking around for an RO to run into".

Foreign shooters are regular with SO contact if they get too far away from an easy make up shot.

Might change your cologne and hope for less RO love.

I have an answer.

Might as well just shoot the activating popper from the outside shooting area and chew 1 procedural then finish shooting.

So don't go back to the port to shoot the popper when your ROs and videographers are behind you. but he can go forward outside the shooting area then either shoot the popper from minimum of 7 yards far or soccer-kick the popper.

Next time I guess he should scream GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY and run the idiots over.

When you scream at people to get the fuck outta your way with a loaded gat in your hands.....10 times outta 10 you're gonna get stopped and get that reshoot, at least on my stage you will.

 soccer-kick the popper.

I'm imagining Thumbless kicking a popper down while screaming "THIS IS PRACTICAL!"
