Great thread on Benos.

I didn't think I could hate Sanders more than I already did, but this thread really raised the bar.

He's kind of abrasive, but it sounds like he may be right.

Pretty obvious from the video he should have been hammer bumped to open as he didn't present the RO with a printed copy of a text from Troy listing applicable adjustments and instead moves suspiciously and aggressively toward the RO's screening them away from a reasonable view of his modified gat.

The popper angle is a red herring - they aren't supposed to fall on one shot in L2 and above matches.

To call that not interference is laughable on it's face. One of you (matt or alma) should post that in the enos thread

I don't see a person who decisively took off and was blocked in by ROs, and but for that, would have had a great stage.

I see an indecisive shooter take a half step, stop, mill about thinking, then decide and take off. A reshoot over bullshit would have been unfair to everyone else.

I dunno, I might be a dissenting voice but it looks to me like everyone was able to get out of his way and he wasn't crowded at all. He may have been able to outrun them uprange, but he didn't try.

I see someone who started to move uprange but stopped as soon as the RO was in his field of view.

So if you have an unusual stage plan, you get a DQ?

How are you going to enforce that? You gonna DQ everybody?

How many matches are they going to let you RO when attendance drops off?

Argumentum ad absurdum...

Being in your field of view doesn't necessarily mean unable to make way for you.  Right?

Holy fucking fuck. Fuck Sarge.

I don't like the guy personally, but I have to admit he was level headed in the benos discussion and others brought on the road rage.

I wasn't there, but from the video alone it seems the way back was clear of interference.  It may not have happened as quickly as you and Alma think it should have, but it did happen and it appears in plenty of time for the shooter to go on his way.

Bullshit it was clear of interference.  He turned and started running and the one RO literally jumped backwards, still facing downrange.  No fucking way they would have been out of his way by the time he ran past them with is gun still pointing downrange.

At least he said this part:

Agreed on all counts. When I was asked what I thought, I stuck to the rule as written. I would have not said a word when he asked me a question. I would have done my best to outrun him if he took off uprange. If it was obvious I was going to get lapped I would have called stop. I would have "offered" a reshoot.

which should be commended, although he also said this

And note how far back the scoring RO actually is. He is basically at the end of the three walls and the shooter is now indexing on the turner that has not been activated. And I still saw the RO (s) get out of the way plenty fast when shooter finally decided to move back. This is an excellent example of why video is not allowed as evidence in uspsa.

Which is wrong.
