At the SNS 400 this weekend, there was a shooter on the squad in front of me (We were backed up on them all day long) that lost his shit on his squad due to an accidental pre-pasting, borderline unsportsmanlike conduct.
PCC Shooter shoots stage. Stage is pre-pasted before scoring is completed. On the re shoot he has a major malfunction that causes him to give up on a stage with a bunch of Mikes & FTEs. He loses his shit on his squad calling them all fucking idiots and retards. Demanding to know who fucked him (No one fessed up). This went on for a few minutes. Overall being a mega douche.
Someone on my squad asked what happened (Due to his temper tantrum) and he began to lose it even further. He says something along the lines of “I live close, I could just go home”. I reply “With that attitude, why don’t you” (How passive aggressive of me, I know…).
This started a back and forth between him and I that was mostly him calling me a prick and a fat fuck, while I just reiterate how he needs to be nicer to the guys he’s going to be hanging out with for the next few hours, regardless of the mistake.
Then his father (Shooter was mid 20’s, father was late 40’s to early 50’s) joins in on the name calling. Approaches me from 20 feet away and gets in my face. He tries to make me flinch a few times by pumping his shoulders like he was going to throw a punch. His son begins to “hold him back” and tell him it’s not worth it while continuing to call me a POS, Fat Fuck, and a prick.
At no point did the RO’s say anything to him or me. I asked the RO’s after the squad left, “at what point does someone’s behavior become unsportsmanlike conduct?” They said they were not sure.
Unrelated Note: Our squad finishes the same stage and then goes to lunch. As our squad is walking to lunch we see said PCC shooter walking back to the bay with his stuff to get a second reshoot. I ask the RM of the match about it and he said no one contacted him about anything regarding him or a second reshoot. No one knows why or how he got a second reshoot.
