After a number of months absence PF.com has returned with a doozy of a thread.  Apparently the operators over there are very concerned that if you hit your VP9 really hard with a hammer it may not work properly when the food court is attacked by ISIS.

Poster states he sold his H&K because he fears a police officer could get in a struggle, land on his VP9 after being taken down by a criminal, and then have a dead trigger.

Poster is not a police officer.

Friggin timmies.

Carrying a firearm that does not survive hard use is a signature Timmy requirement. So what.

Its more important to get something new to stay trendy than it is so be able to shoot the damn things.

A failure that can only be induced by either a specific hammer grip of the muzzle end of the slide or repeated whacks with a hammer to the bottom of the frontstrap?

Definitely kilt in the streetz. Better move on to a different weapon platform system.

I am hitting all my guns in various spots with a hammer to see if I can locate a similar problem.

I don't give a fuck how they get it to fall but no gun should drop a striker after any external impact that doesn't otherwise destroy a gun. That thread is a contribution to the betterment of humanity.

Are they using the newly "adjusted" USPSA legal hammer? Some one email DNROI for a clarification.

It depends how much the trigger has been tuned.

I've seen a local extreme Glock trigger tuner dood toon guns further than they could or should ever be tooned.

After reading that PF nonsense, I hit a couple of my Glocks with a 4# sledge.  Broke the fucking hammer.

Sledge?  A 4lb hammer is my gunsmithing hammer.  Good (Glock) point though...I only use it for 1911s.

Unless otherwise noted, expect that all my posting here is in true Doodie fashion.  If my post somehow upsets your sensibilities, well...there ya go.

I guess I need to let that one person I've ever met that owns a vp9 know about it.

Maybe just hit the local "tuner" with the hammer to fix the problem?  Eliminating stupid is everyone's job.

No, but I saw one go off on a slide forward once. Other than that they seem to work but crazy low pull weight.
