From what I understand, there is an arms embargo in Europe against Russia because of the conflict in Ukraine. As a result, the Russian competitors are not allowed to bring firearms into France. The competitors from Zimbabwe are also not allowed to bring in their firearms but I don't know what that is for.

Start before sunrise and end at 7 PM?  Yikes...

They either need to add more shooting days and spread it out, or cut back on the number of stages.

The World Shoot has already grown to the point that it's almost impossible to hold, and it's only going to get worse with the addition of more Regions.

I usually get up at like 9-10 AM to goto work, so this before sunrise shit is hard.

It's possible it'll be worse on pm rotation as the stated finish time is 7:10pm. If it rains everything slows down, throw in a few popper cals and you're shooting at 8pm!

It's my first world shoot but I have heard these euro dudes know how to run tight schedule. They have only 50min per stage to get a 16 man squad through.

It's a beast of a match, that's for sure.

When they cram this many people into the schedule it fucks things up usually. I shot a stage in the dark in Greece, I shot one in the dark in Hungary and got to come back an extra day to shoot two more.

Our squad got fucked by the sunrise on the sliders at the World Shoot in Frostproof, but never shot much past sunset.  Looks like a bunch of berms in Frogproof are east-west too.  Might not be as much a thing if they are more than 10 feet tall.

They should add another day or two to the schedule and make cramming everyone through less of the heroic death-march accomplishment it always turns into.  It's a once every 3 years World Championship, it's not going to kill anyone to add a day.

As long as the super squad has optimal conditions on all stages it's fine.

A couple of the berms at one local club is especially bad for that, especially in the winter. The sun comes up directly over the middle of the berm and everyone's breath, and gunsmoke, and the omnipresent fog all just light up to the point where seeing anything at all is just a question of luck. I remember once being able to see the sparkles of unburnt powder coming out of the barrel while I was in the middle of a stage. Not optimal.

Shooting in the dark?  So unpractical.

Yep. I just looked at your schedule. You start on pm then day off. Then am/pm/am/pm. At least you only have one pm-am transition. But 3 pm's might suck when you have the real possibility of shooting in darkness or having to come back the next day.

All the best mate. I'm sure you'll have a great match. :)

72 squads of 16 shooters in the main match - 1152 shooters doing 30 stages in 6 days (with one non shooting day). Plus I think pre match is up to 400 or something nuts now too.

Plus all the Russians and whatever sap Zimbabwe sends will be borrowing guns.  It'll be like the dudes at your local shooting two divisions and swapping gear all the time but better.

Yeah I feel like I should rent one of my ck open guns to a Russian dude.

Oh and pre-match is reportedly 500 people. 1600+ people. It's a big beast.

It'll be close to a million rounds fired over the event. Might be over if there's some popper fucking and people burning rounds in the function fire bays.

1 million little lead missiles. God speed you little alpha seekers.
