If some RO is dicking shooters, my range or not, I'm going to say something.

Shrugging it off as someone else's problem is how we get the PVHs of the sport.

It pins my irony meter when people post things like "your to stupid..."

You brought a rifle to a handgun competition?

Noob-level advice can be the RO's way of saying you just shot like a noob.

Did you forget your stage plan at some point? Dump an entire magazine on a Texas Star? Run back and forth across the stage like a crazed weasel?

I guess I don't think offering unneeded advice to a shooter is the same as cheating. Perhaps we can just agree to disagree on the severity of the offense.

I didn't equate the two. I only pointed out the slippery slope of unchecked RO derpiness.

I also did not give a hard threshold for action. I just point out that a head in the sand misses everything.

Maybe you should go back and re-read posts 15, 17, 18 and 19 to see that the conversation isn't just about unwanted advice any more.

It's not RO derp, it's perceived RO power. Derp from a position of power is inherent divisionism. ROs clearly don't like open shooters.

The RO needs to be told to Shut The Fuck Up and follow the rules, is he wants to be a coach he can go coach little league.

But if the competitor does it, you will start shit and may get uninvited to the range.

As in much of life, you don't have the resources to run around teaching people what their mama (or instructor) should have.

That's not just RO's, it's pretty much anyone who is nearby when they shoot while not double-muffed.

Just stand there and hold the slide open waiting for the right command. Maybe move it closer to his face so he gets the hint.

Sounds like he said "if clear hammer down" and OP for some reason listened to a bunch of diarrhea instead of dropping his slide and hammer.

Or I came on here to give a suggestion to other RO's on how not to annoy shooters.

I submit to you the people who need to read your post are not the people reading this post.

But good job virtue signaling to the choir.

"You almost broke the 180."

And? Either I did or I didn't. If I did, DQ me. If I'm at 179.9999, don't tell me about it.

RO's will give someone a warning saying they were close, what that means is they broke 180, but the RO is giving them a break.

People don't learn from warnings when they get DQ'd, that should teach them but not always.

N00bs (and sometimes more experienced competitors) need to be told - sometimes they have no idea where their muzzles are.

Others know exactly and get irritated by the feedback.
