Even thou I'm a buy American type of guy my financial situation in my "zinc" years forces me to compromise. What's the straight skinny on these Turkish copies of I guess Walthers? Anyone actually used one enough to say if they are cool or not? Are they as accurate and reliable as I see on the youtube?

Also some of them have this "decocker" button on top of the slide, I was wondering if USPSA forces people using this version to use this and "decock? I know it's kiinda technical but if they are advertised as single action with a decocker which is my understanding why wouldn't they?

Spend the extra hundred bucks and buy a P99. They can be found for about $400 online if you look. Canik currently has a non-recall recall for Sig P320 issues. So there’s that.

I would think you would need to decock since they are DA/SA guns.

It doesn't have an external hammer so what rule would require it to be decocked?

I won one in a staff raffle. I like the trigger better than a Glock. It left me wanting a milled slide for my Shadows.

Muh wrist don't bend to that Glock angle, I'm too old to change sexual preference.

I've considered a PPQ. Had a P99 back when they were the new hotness, it was pretty fine.

I guess since the XD is single action and allowed to compete in Production the difference must be the hammer, I missed that ruling.

I shot a TP9SA in 3gun for a year. Pros: better trigger and grip angle than a glock. Cons: shitty 3 dot sights and at the time no aftermarket parts like a decent holster or base pads. Canik has released the TP9sfx which is their competition model, it has Warren sights, longer barrel and they did away with the decocker. More aftermarket availability for holsters and base pads. Looks competition ready for around $500

Look if you’re so poor that you’re really considering shooting a Canik PM me and I’ll send you a P99 or PPQ.
