Some great content in this one. Nice work Ben, now it's time for a twoofer.

It's a great podcast episode and well worth a listen. Ben, as he always does, puts it all on the table and doesn't hold back.

I don’t know man. Hearing about Ben fighting cancer while training for Nats? That’s rather incredible shit and Arik didn’t bother me so much - for the first time ever. Mostly because Ben does 90% of the talking.

When you realize we all got beat by the dude with cancer:

Chris-Farley-Sunglasses-Flip-Shock.gif?s

In all seriousness, it makes the year that much more impressive for Ben. Two very well-deserved victories.

Just listened to this while driving and here are some notes live from a gas station parking lot.

Podcaster proves he’s an independent renegade beholden to no one by pronouncing Ben’s name however the fuck he wants!

Ben overcame a malignant tumor to win all matches everywhere. In addition to the Doodie forum, he also had cancer!

Real cancer too, not some bogus skin tag that isn’t dangerous that you freaked out about - this was almost Lance Armstrong brain and ball level shit.

Still, the episode has changed some of Ben’s plans most notably in speeding up and deepening his travel schedule to reach the goal of beating every shooter on every continent.

As bad as cancer is, Ben reveals an unexpected upside as his physician gave him a note allowing him to skip SHOT.

Ben also revealed that he would not allow the surgery to proceed until the physician practiced drawing the scalpel from the table and incising a 2cm line on an orange 3 feet away in less than 2.1 seconds reliably.

Ben also revealed that he may run for president of uspsa in 10 or so years on the platform of free water at Nats like in Europe and rolling out the new website or at least revealing a screenshot of a draft homepage by end of his first term.

Ben discussed that if he had to buy a Tanfoglio and blue bullets he would but, unlike you, he doesn’t have to. But you do. Seriously, you do and he doesn’t.

In chrome, if you listen to the podcasts via the site and pause it and come back later, it never works.  Fucking annoying.

He has some very bizarre speech patterns, but he's secured some real good interviews so far.

Ben's interview is awesome, thanks for sharing.

Definitely would only listen to hear the guest talk. Bizarre cadence mixed with used car lot voice effects sprinkled in would be very terrifying to hear late at night alone. #heiscoming #thepodcastiscomingfromINSIDETHEHOUSE!

But it was interesting to hear. Admirable of Ben to be able to focus on achieving the pinnacle of his shooting goals and also probably good he had that to focus on.

Cancer sucks and I hope he never has to fight it again but if he had to I’d bet on Ben.

Thanks to Ben speaking out we now have proof. Shooting production gives you cancer.

Jokes aside it is an interesting interview and it dispels any notion that you can just rock up and win a world shoot without serious work behind it.

I like Bens philosophy that you either shoot the most standard type gun (prod) or the balls out full competition spec gun. They are the only divisions that hold my interest. I've never considered ltd/std, classic maybe for some lols and revo isn't a division it's self harm with guaranteed trophies.

The small margin of victory in the whirled chute boggles the mind. The smallest hesitation or a single miscalled target and that result goes the other way. I thought pavel seemed ok but all his white supremacy shit makes me think his card may be punched after all.

The pressure on that final stage must have been immense.

A very well deserved victory Ben. The real champ.
