I have noticed it is customary to provide an intro post before commenting on anything on this forum. I am not looking to get a bag of dicks because that is homo, so I will keep this intro as boring as possible.
I am 31, married, 2 kids, gainfully employed, live in the Chattanooga, TN area, and have been competing in competitive shooting for 4 years. I started off shooting IDPA with a Glock 34 for the first 2 years. I thought I was good because I started winning the local competition most months after the first year or so. I then went and shot USPSA for the first time. Two things happened after that first USPSA match, I realized I sucked and that IDPA sucked even worse. I then started trying to figure out how to get better and came across the Ben Stoeger podcast. I got some books and a timer and started actually working to get better. I started off in C class and am now in A class. I don't get to shoot many matches, so I dry fire and go to the range once every couple weeks.
I do not however attribute any of this success to my practice, books, or podcast. The reason I am an A class baller now is because shoot a Stock 2, use blue bullets, mag pouches with bullets facing out, and a boss holster. Everybody knows this is a gear game........
Thank you to everyone on this forum for continuing to provide juicy shooting content. Doodie Project is like the OK! magazine of the shooting world and I love it.
