“Kenneth DeCicco is a retired Detective Sergeant from the Somerville (NJ) Police Department. He's served as a Rifle, Subgun, Active Shooter and Reality Based Training instructor, as well as an agency supervising instructor, and is currently a shotgun and handgun instructor and Director of Training at the Tactical Training Center in Flemington, N.J.”

Why am I still skeptical? Look at all those qualifications!

Maybe the Tactical Training Center is a Voda franchise.

The 'reality based training instructor' qual is my fav.

And yes. Clearly 1 and 3 are both isosceles stance.

Isosceles what you need to isosceles.

Kenneth DeCicco also sucks at any kind of handgun shooting where peformance is measured with anything faster than a sundial

The dudes with any sort of sports experience feel they know all they need to know about shooting already and don't sign up for basic classes.

They then demonstrate the all-weight-on-your-heels, get-your-face-as-far-away-from-the-noisy-thing-as-possible stance.

I find my championship level thumb wrestling grip to be perfect for shooting.

No one remembers the Chapman stance, except maybe a youtube champ.

Gotta be the Segal637737e9f47f38ad2ea115218ea5afad.jpg Ok seriously, whatever works at the moment. Most often for me, it’s going to be Isosceles, just for the ease of movement. I can see in a defensive situation, wanting the gun closer to your body sometimes. I’m a firm believer that recoil control is in the hands.... so this bringing it in closer doesn’t bother me. I don’t buy into the blading away to make yourself “smaller” line... being the first to hit the other guy is a huge advantage. I would use whatever is fastest.

For defensive use, I prefer the “ducks, runs away like bitch, gun extended begind me slapping the trigger like mad” stance.

I won an IDPA match once. It was neat.
