Well, like an idiot I didn't ever test my 170 in my new gun, only my 140s. So I had a couple malfunctions from the new gun and that mag not getting along. Once I switched to my backup 170 things started looking up.

Things I see for improvement:
bad reload on stage one, plus trigger freeze

Too many steel makeups on stage 2, I knew shooting that array on the move way risky but I wanted to put my live fire practice of steel on the move to the test.

Probably should have just slipped the drop turner all together on 3, I don't know if the points (that I didn't even end up getting because of the malf) would have been worth it.

Slow draw on 4 (1.09 at like 3 yards, meh), then the obviously barrel hit at the end.

Dismal shooting on the classifier, 3M (just going too fast)

Bad reload on the 6th, trigger freeze, steel shooting no bueno.

Thoughts?

Do you find yourself with 3 Alpha from time to time?  You seem to take extra shots on paper - are you calling mikes?

FWIW, it looks very cold and I don't miss waking up to shoot in sub freezing temperatures.

It was horribly cold, like 25 degrees all day.

If I don't call a shot, or the dot lifts from anywhere but the middle-ish of the target, it gets another. It isn't worth risking a penalty for something stupid like "oh I thought I maybe called a D".

Your movement didn't seem as confident as normal. I'm going to assume that was the cold taking hold?

Yeah I think that was probably at play here, the ground in a few of the bays was really icy, and it was just really cold to get the muscles moving. I don't know why else I would have been moving slow, but it does look like I was on video.

I suggest packing on the LBS for the winter warmth. This will allow you to move faster during those cold matches.

If you want to skip the heart attack and don’t buy triple xxxl clothing, invest in one of these. You won’t regret it. You just have to get over how cool you’ll look in this thing and start practicing turning down pussy at your locals. It’s worth it though, there’s chest pockets you can stuff hand warmers in and even a spot you can put a name card in. Yea. Your welcome

What's up with the old school tube in the product pics? Makes the vest look more cutting edge?

Definitely has the “I shot open before it was cool” vibe to it.

I actually would think about getting one of those vests, but 80 bucks is a hard pass for a fleece vest.

You can always just wear a fleece jacket tucked in. Dorkiness level would roughly be the same but it'd be cheaper.

you guys are way underestimating the quality of this dorkwear. Its the thickness of a quality winter jacket and it has chest pockets for hand warmers. C'mon

It's not a bad idea, I just don't know if I can live with myself if I wear a literal USPSA gamer vest.

Is it better or worse to wear a gamer vest in a sport that doesn't require you to? I'm leaning towards worse.

Ok fag, keep trembling and shooting 3 shots at every target. As gay as I look in this thing, I’m warm and happy as a pig in fresh shit in my gamer vest packed full of nipple warmers.
