Thought that I would get around to doing my intro post. Won't be very exciting.
I'm a 44 year old network engineer in the DC area. A little under a year ago a buddy of mine took me to my first USPSA match and I found out how much fun it is to run around like a retard punching holes in paper and banging steel. I have been addicted since that point and wishing that I had picked it up years ago when I was a lot more athletic.
I shoot limited with the "Glock Perfection" (gonna catch lots of crap on that one). Mainly because I had borrowed gun and rig from my brother for the first few months and I know how to work on them. I do keep eyeing the 2011s on the BEnos classifieds lustfully though. I have no clue about getting them to run consistently so I am hesitant.
Got initially classified in the wonderful D class but have been making progress and should hopefully make A soon. Still working out the balance of accuracy vs speed and obviously just becoming a better shooter.
Took my gf to a match once so she could see how I spend my weekends and she thinks I'm fucking nuts for shooting for 15-30 seconds and spending 45 minutes resetting the course for 10 other people.
