People still shoot polymer guns? I didn't think they were "competitive" anymore.

Shot a metal gun for a year. Went back to polymer. They’re better.

I’m far from the only one.

(And amusingly enough my polymer gun brand of choice now has a steel framed edition of said plastic gun. Hah!)

I won an IDPA match once. It was neat.

Same here, I shot a CZ Shadow for a year. I am shooting a P320 X5 now with no intention of going back to a steel gun

I went from a tanfo to an x5 because the tanfo was finicky. I bailed on production and went back to open but given the choice, I would grab the steel framed striker walther over the x5 any day of the week.

Which X5? 226 or 320?

I've given up on my 226s due to intermittent extraction issues.

Well you probably wouldn’t be immune to extraction issues on the 320. I went back to a beretta 92a1 after that polymer disaster.

P320 x5. I’m back to open though . Now I can worry about extraction issues along with slide breakage, dots breaking, constant mag tuning, aftec springs, hammer follow, comp cracking....

But on the plus side you no longer have to tape targets or reset steel

The secret to looking like you tape targets and reset steel is to walk very slowly, do like 2....three at the most

Pasting and resetting is dumb. New targets for every shooter that automatically reset themselves is the hotness these days.
