Though, I've been on a rye kick lately.

 

Tried any of the Rendezvous offerings? Tasty stuff.

 

Mezcal is also great for sipping. It has a similar smoky flavor to Scotch.

not yet, Bulleit small batch was my intro into the genre just a short while ago. I'll have to track a bottle of that down.

Steak mostly on the grill. Smear a little vegetable oil on each side, dust one side with Montreal seasoning and the other with KC Masterpiece BBQ seasoning on the other side. About 3 minutes per side (diamond pattern). Perfect fucking rare.

Char Broil Infrared grill. Best grill for steaks.

Ever.

Love smoking even better. Got a cheapish Masterbuilt propane smoker. Wish it were a little bigger so I wouldn't have to cut a rack of ribs in half or be able to do a whole salmon filet or beef brisket.

I love using propane to smoke with, not sure I really want to go through the hassle of charcoal. How much more work is there to using a charcoal smoker?

I hope it's much harder so I can keep telling the wife that it must constantly be monitored so I can drink even more when smoking.

Lately I've been messing around with flank steak. It started when I made this: http://www.meatwave....-grilled-onions Now I don't dick around with marinating it. It was really good but olive oil + salt & pepper is also plenty good and it's way less work. When I'm feeling too cheap even for flank steak I butterfly a chicken and grill that. This stuff does awesome stuff to chicken.

I've been thinking about trying smoking but I don't want to buy a smoker. I might try either using my grill or jury-rigging a smoker out of a cardboard box and a hot plate.

During the summer I drink a bunch of gin & tonics. Beer is always Old Style or Stroh's or some shit.

Hmmm. Every retard is apparently safe.

Always have a case of Miller Lite on hand but I don't discriminate much when it comes to beer. Vodka tonics and gin and tonics (Tanqueray 10) when I'm feeling fancy. I'm not old enough for scotch.
