Hey Memphis have you ever been to a service rifle match? Most ranges that have them have loaner equipment so you can try it out, just gotta pay for ammo. They usually have a week night tranning/practice too.

Usual issue with PCC shooters around here is they always want to enter with 2 guns and so spend the entire match dicking with the guns and not helping run the stages.

Imagine an Open shooter but with 50% more shit to fuck with.

Use the rules. Don't DQ someone who doesn't do anything DQable. -- Da Beard.

It's 100% more shit to fuck with, but yes I agree.

I shoot open, because it is by far the best compared to anything else.

This is the problem with PCC in my neck of the woods too. And these fucks always try to leave their handgun in the holster while they reshoot the classifier with their second gun.

I shoot production because I'm young enough to see my sights and beating hicap boomers with a glock is fun. I tried a tanfo, but found it much more satisfying to compete with a 500 plastic gun. I'm not asain or Pacific islander which is a requirement in order to run a 2011 or tanfo in California

I shoot open and production with cz’s. I’m pretty sure there’s no better way to stunt my skill growth worse than by alternating between two divisions that are the complete opposite of each other, never sticking to one long enough to get classified.

Dear god.

In our neck of the woods “2nd gun” means staying after the match is completed and shooting through the whole thing again with a second firearm.

No way we’d let you load two sets of mags and shit on forst run through. That will absolutely take all day and you’ll visualize (and shoot) like shit.

Damn. I get the hate now.

Production due to the variety of guns I can use.  Single stack for nostalgic reasons.  I also like to see how I do against the hi-cap folks.  My open and limited guns haven't seen the range in years.....10+.

This is a MD problem, not a PCC problem. 1 gun per customer.

Absoutely. As I said before, our guys who want to second gun? They have to hang around after we all head home to run through the stages again with firearm #2 while the rest of us have left to go eat lunch. I’ve done it from time to time, but not often.

No way I’d let guys swap belts and mags and shit to switch divisions every stage. They’re going to be zero help scoring and pasting and will just be time sucking.

I started shooting a G17 in Production when I got back from Iraq in '09....I needed a hobby and didn't want to watch porn 24/7.

After my first L2 match that year I went and got a G34.

I shot a lot of majors that first year, like 13 and then Nationals the next year.

I switched between a G34 in Production to a G35 in Limited...I thought using the Limited gun for practice would help me with recoil for my G34....I don't think it did.

I worked my way up to B Class...by accident.

At one of the local matches that was a classifier match, one of my friends and I decided to go as fast as we could....that moved me up to B Class....wish I hadn't done that.

Kept shooting by G34 in Production and then the trouble started.

I thought if I tinkered with the trigger, trigger bar and springs that I could make the trigger better....you know, since I went and became a GLOCK Armorer a few years back....big mistake.

In two separate incidents at a L2 match, I had a round go off when I loaded the gun and let the slide go forward.

First time was an unloaded table start and the RO didn't see what happened and the gun was pointed at the target.

Next stage when I was told to Make Ready....well, it went bang and I went home.....I haven't shot that gun since then, just put it up in the gun gun cabinet.

I went and bought a Shadow Target....love the gun, and never has it went off when I loaded it.

Haven't shot much since my kids are getting older....taught one to drive and then became a marching band parent; so I don't have any free time.

Then, when the Shadow 2s came out, I went and got one of those...

I don't dry fire much and shoot live fire less....

I shout about 1 L2 match a year....BITB and maybe 1 or 2 local matches.

I love the S2 and how well it shoots....for those of you that think the gun doesn't matter ask yourself just one question.....how many times have you seen a HighPoint at a match?

The gun matters, get yourself a CZ!

I just wish they (USPSA) would have went to 15 round capacity in Production to align better to IPSC.....since fucking rules got changed and reworded anyways.

Maybe this year I can do some live fire practice and shoot more....but then again, my marching band daughter turns 16 so I'll be having to teach her to drive too...so maybe next year....maybe.

1. Fucks up sear/striker engagement on his Glock, creating an unsafe gun
2. Unsafe gun does unsafe things at the match
3. Gets DQed
4. Buys CZ
5. Still B class shooter
6. "The gun matters! Get a CZ!"

Ooof.
