Aight. Gas pedal on a production gun is taking it a bit too far.

It upset Ben Berry so much, he announced he was going to stop doing the short course podcast today.

1.  You need to change the title of this thread to " *thumb rest[generic]* on your production gun" before you get sued by the GP douche.

     http://www.doodiepro...as-pedal-on-be/

2.  Production has always been fucking dumb.  Now it's way dumber.  Didn't think it was possible.

3.  I'll bet you that Foley shoots a *thumb rest[generic]* on his production gun.  Don't worry though, this will grow the sport more than PCC!

4.  The org and the current DNROI have gone full retard are full retards.

USPSA is dead on its feet and doesn't even know it yet.

Can we add mag wells now?

Totally. Next LOK grips design, panels that extend bellow by 1/4 and then flare out. Falls under "small parts that can be replaced".

Seriously:  Where do you put in your special rules requests?

I'd like to shoot a 10 round .45 mag in Single Stack shooting minor.

When is the next election?

I like to rewatch election night 2016 coverage and I want to marry a conservative black girl who likes to shoot.

At the risk of bringing some reason into this cage full of shit-flinging monkeys, McManus didn't have a leg to stand on if he said this slide stop/gas pedal was prohibited.

A strict reading of appendix D4 shows that

A. Aftermarket slide stops are legal

and

B. The only prohibition against thumb rests is mentioned in 22.2 (prohibited grip modifications)

Since the slide stop is not a part of the grip, he has no choice but to say this particular slide stop is legal even if it performs as a GAS PEDAL.  If we want that abomination gone, D4 will have to be amended to make it so.

I thought that's why we have an online-only rulebook-- so inconvenient rules can just go poof when they annoy the powers that be.

This product is not a slide stop.

It's a takedown lever replacement.

Show me where in the appendix takedown levers are mentioned.

OK, if that's the case then you're right.  Except that here comes the "you suck and we hate you" clause:

22 Specifically prohibited
modifications and features

Please note that the absence of an item in the
list of prohibited modifications MAY NOT be
construed to mean a modification is allowed. A
modification is only allowed in Production
Division if there is a rules clause or interpretation
that specifically declares that it is allowed in the
Division
. Removing or disabling firing-pin blocks
or any other factory safety mechanism in
Production division is specifically prohibited.

Troy just made the bullshit call into an interpretation

Yes.

The rule are merely suggestions at this point.

I don't think that bodes well for the health of the sport long term, but hot damn - look at those

Major - minor, hi-cap - low cap, optic - irons, fits into the box - N/A. If you wish, make a box that allows slide mounted but doesn't frame mounted optics. If you really, really wish, assign specific trigger requirements to whatever division you want. Stop talking about equipment rules forever.

Would that be a reasonable platform to run against Foley?

you can't run against foley, you can only hope to contain the number of divisions he creates for himself.

I just want him to add SCP.

We really need Shotgun Caliber Pistol, so the hordes of Taurus Judge shooters can come beating down our doors.
I won an IDPA match once. It was neat.
