Piston guns don't use a buffer and the rules don't say anything about grabbing the front of the magwell like a fucking boss. Just don't run a front handguard.

9mm ARs don't use gas or pistons.  direct blowback.   maybe someone makes one that doesn't use a buffer, IDK (or care)

Somebody makes 9mm gas AR uppers but he's hard to deal with.

Yeah, for blowback you dont need a recoil spring.

Foo Custom will sell you a 9mm AR pistol without a buffer, satisfaction guaranteed. Just make sure you shoot the first few rounds nose to charging handle.

Been there done that, way before it's time evidently, even had the kick back trigger system like that TacCon 3mr only free.

Do you think you could be competitive with anything like this? It seems like the traditional open guns would still be much faster shooting and transitioning than any of these alternatives.

Normal open gun would get you killed on the street.

Just shot a gas .45APC AR Pistol last night, they exist
